AFCON 2025 Final Ends in Drama as Senegal Walks Off Against Morocco

The Africa Cup of Nations final in Rabat turned chaotic as Senegal defeated hosts Morocco 1‑0 after extra time, but not without controversy. The match was goalless after 90 minutes, and tension peaked when the referee awarded Morocco a late, highly disputed penalty. In protest, Senegal’s coach Pape Thiaw ordered his players to walk off the pitch, halting the game for over 15 minutes. Captain Sadio Mané eventually convinced his teammates to return. Morocco’s Brahim Díaz missed the penalty, and Senegal went on to score in extra time through Pape Gueye, securing their title. The incident drew sharp criticism from FIFA president Gianni Infantino, and the CAF announced a disciplinary review. The Moroccan Football Federation also threatened legal action over the farcical scenes. The match will be remembered as one of the most dramatic and controversial finals in AFCON history.

Refugees life experience in Kenya

Life as a refugee in Kenya is shaped by waiting, resilience, and quiet hope. Many refugees arrive seeking safety after fleeing conflict, carrying loss and uncertainty into crowded camps and urban settlements. Days are often marked by limited resources, restricted movement, and dependence on aid. Despite these hardships, refugees strive to rebuild their lives. Children attend makeshift schools, families form supportive communities, and small businesses emerge as people search for dignity and independence. Cultural traditions are preserved through shared meals, stories, and faith. Though the future remains uncertain, refugees continue to endure—adapting to a new environment while holding onto hope for stability, opportunity, and belonging beyond borders.
